Tips on becoming anything you want to be (011)

1st Law Newsletter - Nov 20 2023

Focus for the week

What do you want to be?

Rich, healthy, in shape, eloquent, flexible, good at insert desirable and challenging to acquire skill here?

Whatever it is, have you put thought and effort into what steps and actions it will take to achieve that?

Are you currently becoming that which you want to be?

There are two sides to goals and progress.

First, you can be working on achieving what you desire and forming good habits.

Or second, by not working towards your goals, you are actively forming the habit of not working towards your goals.

I want you to read that again because I believe it is powerful:

By not working towards your goals, you are actively forming the habit of not working towards your goals.

You must understand that if you want to be, you must first become.

If you want to be rich, you must become rich by understanding money, what you want it for, and how you are going to make it, multiply it, and keep it.

If you want to be in shape, you must become in shape by going to the gym everyday and eating clean, and understand how you are going to maintain that body.

In order to be the best version of yourself, you must first become the best version of your self.

If you truly want to achieve your fullest potential, answer these questions for yourself:

What does the best version of myself do everyday?

What do they eat?

When do they go to sleep and wake up?

How do they speak? Treat people?

How do they do everything?

Now compare and contrast with your current situation.

There are probably huuuugeee discrepancies between your current behavior and the behavior of your best self.

At least there are for me.

And there should be, because if there isn't, you are either perfect (ha!), or you don't have high enough standards for yourself and your potential.

Start today and this week and make small changes to align your behavior with that of which you want to be.

Start the process of becoming your best self.

Become.

Small consistent changes will add up.

I love you all, keep this in mind and have a great week.

Always Strive and Prosper,

Lucas
