Be the best in the world

To attain true freedom and wealth, you should be the best in the world at what you do. As Naval says, keep redefining what you do until this is true. If you like what you are doing now but think it will bore you someday, keep looking.

The whole is more than the sum of its parts. Keep stacking your skills and your interests, be authentic, build a reputation for being reliable by taking accountability. Build a great track record. Zoom out. Doing this over a year might make a small change in your life. Do it over decades and you will be one of a kind, and get rewarded for it.

This should not be complicated. Since there is only one you, you are already the best in the world at being you. All you need to do is figure out how to get paid to be you.

The world wants to assign you a role in life. And once you accept that role you are doomed. You must be solely responsible for your own creation. You are an artist, mold yourself like something out of clay.

What I’m Reading

This week I am reading two books simultaneously (one physical and one on the kindle). The Mind of Napoleon by Napoleon Bonaparte himself, and The Almanack of Naval by Naval Ravikant. Roth were not exactly ‘written’ by the authors but they are collections of their spoken and written work with additional context.

Have a great week :)
